About Us

My name is Thuraya ( Tierra is my given name) I am the Owner Seamstress of  Threadz by Thuraya LLC. I started my revert journey in the spring of of 2021 and took my Shahadah June 3rd 2021, I struggled with being comfortable  in my modesty either I was too far left or too far right. Alhamdulillah I found the right spot for me, had a few bad experiences with shopping with some companies but I also had some amazing experiences and would still purchase from those sisters today. 

I took my first sewing class in March and my advance class in May of 2022. Threadz by Thuraya was founded while on a trip to beach with my sis after making a last minute burkini for myself.  I originally planned just to sew for myself, knowing there's always need for modest wear and with the the permission of Allah I opened Threadz by Thuraya May 2022 I started with making burkinis, slowing adding new item to our catalog. 

My goal here at Threadz by Thuraya is to help keep has many of my beautiful ukhtis covered with well made, fashionable, modest custom garments, and other trendy outerwear and accessories. Being covered doesn't have to be boring, or over the top. 

Our garments can also be worn by all women, everyone deserves to look and feel beautiful as we do. Threadz by Thuraya We Got You Covered !
