About Us

My name is Thuraya ( Tierra is my given name) I am the Owner Seamstress of  Threadz by Thuraya LLC. I struggled with being comfortable  in my modesty either I was too far left or too far right. Alhamdulillah I found the right spot for me, had a few bad experiences with shopping with some companies but I also had some amazing experiences and would still purchase from those sisters today. 

I took my first sewing class in March and my advance class in May of 2022. Threadz by Thuraya was founded while on a trip to beach with my sis after making a last minute burkini for myself.  I originally planned just to sew for myself, knowing there's always need for modest wear and with the the permission of Allah I opened Threadz by Thuraya May 2022 I started with making burkinis, slowing adding new item to our catalog. 

My goal here at Threadz by Thuraya is to help keep has many of my beautiful ukhtis covered.
